Diamond in the Rough Junior Golf Camp started in 1993. Amateur golfer, Mark Greenough saw a need for junior instruction that was more advanced than the traditional learn to golf lessons, but not at the elite stage. Diamond in the Rough ran at Emerald Park Golf Course from 1993-1996.

Mark's son John, who is currently the Head Professional at Deer Valley Golf course participated in Diamond Camp as a young golfer. He saw the same need for instruction for young golfers today and so in 2013 he brought back Diamond in the Rough Junior Golf Camp.
